We all procrastinate at times, whether at home or at work. We try our best to avoid it but there’s times it simply gets the better of us. Although we feel powerless to resist procrastination, there are some things that you can try.
Ask anyone if they procrastinate, and few people will readily admit to it, yet you must make this admission at least to yourself in order to deal with it.
Now you must sit down and either write down or mentally note what you have missed out on due to your habit of procrastinating. There are so many things this covers that you may end up pretty ashamed of yourself.
Once you’ve made your list, don’t get all moody and miserable about what you’ve lost, you must look forward and determine never to miss out again.
There is an old saying’ never put off until tomorrow what you can do today’, and after viewing your list you will see how sensible this saying is. Get out of this habit before it get any worse and start dealing with things when they arise, not when they have reached crisis point.
Think about all the things that you should have done by now but your procrastination has stopped you. There were probably only one or two to start with and now you are swamped. It doesn’t matter which you do first, just get them done now.
Procrastination can arise from a lack of self confidence in doing things that we don’t think we are capable of. Now that you have managed to take the step and have finished those tasks, you should feel great. They weren’t as bad as you thought and you completed them no problem when you put your mind to it.
If you have been sensible and followed the steps in this article, congratulations, you should be feeling pretty pleased with yourself! You have gotten those tasks down and are still here to tell the tale. Seriously though, from now on you must deal with everything immediately and if you start putting things off again, go through the steps again.
Besides procrastination, the author additionally frequently contributes articles about wooden kitchen bar stools and bed step stools.

Tanning beds are a luxury and most people cannot afford to have one at home, so many like to go to tanning salons. Recently, it has been reported that salon owners have placed a hidden camera in the tanning rooms to spy on their clients. With the camera they take pictures of their clients while naked.
The police have received many cases of the illegal use of hidden cameras. When tanning at home you do not have to worry about this because you are in your private space and tanning naked there is fine. However, we dont all have that luxury and those who want a nice tan and cant afford a bed, go to salons.
In order to tan, the customers need to take off their clothes and many even intend to tan naked. This factor has been misused by some crooked owners or staff of the tanning salons. They take the pictures of the naked customers and make money by selling the DVDs to the porn sites or other dealers of this business.
The police have busted many cases like this and have got hold of photographs of innocent teenage girls who had no clue of what was happening to their private rights. So, if you intend to tan in a salon then do a few things: Before undressing, look out properly for the type of room you are in and make sure nothing looks suspicious or out of place.
Look at the frame of the bed, there should not be any holes there. Going to a reputed salon reduces the risk manifold. So, opt for a reputed salon instead.if you find anything fishy, let the police know about it so that they could carry out the necessary action.
Most tanning salons are not putting a hidden camera in their rooms. Most are good businesses trying to run a clean place. However, you need to always be careful and watching where you go for anything violating you in any way.

If you’ve just been on a first date and you’re wondering when to send a text, you may have just come across this article in search of advice. No one knows when the right time may be, and you’ve likely spent time dwelling about this.
Based on my experience, I’m going to give you my best advice as to when you should text and what you should say if you do. Hopefully this will help you out, giving you everything you need to know from here.
It’s a funny thing, texting. It’s only been in use about ten years but it’s come to be an important form of communication.
In the old, pre-texting days the thing to do was to call after one or two days and thank your date for a great time. This is, of course, still a valid option, but these days people tend to prefer sending a short message.
Things are a little different now and it’s not always easy to know what’s the best way of dealing with the situation.
My best advice is to send a quick text within 24 hours of the end of the date. Can it be the same night? Sure, but if it is, I’d keep it very short and sweet.
It’s a good idea to refer in your text to something that occurred during the evening. Write the message in a lighthearted, humorous tone. You’re not obliged to say you had a good time because the fact that you’re texting your date sends this message implicitly.
This will also spur a conversation that allows you to go back and forth as you please. Plus, the good thing about texting instead of calling is that it breaks the ice and sets the stage for that follow up call after the date.
You’ll have planted the seeds of a conversation with those texts and won’t be stuck for words when, a day or two later, you call your date.
In addition to dating, this writer also regularly blogs about pressure washer hoses and gas pressure washers.

Movies and most TV shows don’t correctly show all the things court reporters do. They aren’t just in court, but they are also found making precise transcripts of legal proceedings, speeches, conversations, and whenever a written record of verbal exchanges is needed. Sometimes they use these records as legal proof. Reporters are often an important piece for legal proceedings and make sure documentation is exact and accurate. They organize records and sometimes help the attorneys and they judges by searching to find the desired information. They sometimes suggest things related to either procedure or administration to the attorneys and the judges. More and more they have been the ones who help with services for those who need translation or even closed captioning. In addition to being known traditionally as the stenographer, the court reporter role has become much greater than in years past.
There are a few different ways court reporting happens. The most often seen is the stenographic method where stenographers record all statements given during proceedings. This is also the kind seen in TV and the movies.
A similar yet different approach is the Communications Access Realtime Translation (CART). In this type stenotype machines are connected to a computer. This helps the hearing impaired because what the stenographer types is seen on a screen. No matter their role in the court room they will know everything that is being said.
While there a various ways of record keeping, different areas need court reporters besides court. When there a hearings and the public attends, they are often in use. They help in documenting the thoughts and opinions that the people have about specific decisions and possibly legislation affect.
Conventions sometimes need records of verbal statements. The people that could not attend can read a record of the happenings. This could be any type of convention including business meetings, seminars, or even award ceremonies.
Sometimes insurance companies decide to look into a person who has filed a claim. Usually they send an investigator to interrogate them. Stenographers can produce a transcript of all of the questions and answers given. These transcripts can affect the state of a claim and whether it’s approved or denied.
It is not uncommon for corporations to have transcripts of every meeting professionally done. Corporations can be either banks, or sometimes condo associations. Most corporations that need this type of service go through stenographer companies.
With a lot of previously unknown responsibilities, the importance of court reporters goes unrecognized. They make precise transcripts that are easily legible for the court, but in addition they organize all the records making them easy to find the desired information from, which is especially important during the appeals process. Not just that, but they arrange so that those that are handicapped, or even hard of hearing are able to know what is going on and be a participant in court, if need be. With the increase in the responsibilities of the court reporter role, their knowledge and significance in the judicial process should be recognized.

Seeking more information about the 2012 calendar? You are not alone, there are hundreds of people a day searching for more detailed information on what it is exactly and how it can change the world we know today. There was an ancient race known as the Maya which is a Mesoamerican civilization. They are known to be the only fully developed written language race of the pre-Columbian Americas.
The 2012 calendar or also known as the Maya calendar was based around the so-called Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. This long count calendar was a non-repeating vigesimal base-20 and base-18 calendar used by several Mesoamerican cultures. The Maya were the most notable to use this system and come up with futuristic predictions.
With the 2012 calendar there are constant questions that people have and more that arise as some are answered. What seems to be a realistic outcome of this year depends on the reader. Some may think it is far fetched while others will truly believe it; this again all depends on the individual. If someone believes one outcome that you disagree with, it does not make it wrong as everyone’s opinion is in fact their own theory of what may or may not happen. Having some facts or research to back up finding is a good way to be convinced of some outcomes.
There are many 2012 calendar theories of what may happen some are more realistic than others. What sounds realistic also depends on the reader and what they believe is a possibility of this defined date. One fascinating thing about the Maya is their knowledge of the stars. In the time the civilization existed, they were able to predict every solar and lunar eclipse until today. Not only were they knowledgeable about the starts, but they knew all about astrology too.
With all the sources on the 2012 calendar out there, there must be one that has it all. There in fact is a place to go to get the real details on everything behind the Mayans and their calendar. Why waste hundreds of hours of research to just find your self with more questions that you started with? More and more people are choosing the internet as a source for information over books. This has been happening for some time already.
Instead of heading to the local library for information, as in days past, many people are now just turning on their computers from the comforts of home. They are usually pleased with the information they can find on the internet, from a given website. Does this shift in the gaining of information mean the end of books?
In my opinion, no it does not. The fact of the matter is that there are just too many academics who rely heavily upon books, in their studies and chosen careers, to let books die out overnight.
If you ask any university or college student, they will tell you that their teachers want reliable sources for the information used. If you told one of these teachers that your source was a random website they would not be pleased.
Anyone out there can own a website and claim they are an expert on a topic. With a little bit of luck, a bit of research, and possibly a payment, they can even make their website come up as one of the top links in a Google search on the topic.
The site may look nice, and they may sound like they know what they are talking about, but who is to say that they really do? Websites are largely unregulated and it is not easy to tell what has been fact checked.
Books, while not infallible, are generally written by accredited experts in the field. Their facts have been checked and reviewed, often many times. With a book it is easier to weed out the good from the bad, and direct other people to the good resources.
For these reasons, as well as the people who, like myself, just love the feel of a good novel between their hands, I do not think books will be forgotten any time soon. As a book person, my only hope is for the future generations, that they may grow to appreciate the importance of books, as many of us already do.

If you want to see some serious money floating in the water then Formentera’s marina in the summer is the place to be. Alongside the standard ferries calling in at the port are some yachts that take your breath away. It is a far cry from the days when this natural harbor was used to export sabina pine.
Whether you are in Sant Antoni or Santa Eularia, you can get a ferry to La Savina. During the summer there are many ports that have boats departing for Formentera, including Palma, Barcelona, Altea, Alicante, and Denia. And there is also a boat between La Savina and Espalmador.
La Savina is an excellent place to get everything you need for your vacation on Formentera. You can pop into the tourist office to get a map, and then head to the shops to rent a bike or car. Once you have done with all your shopping there are some nice tapas places overlooking the marina. La Savina is not somewhere that you will want to stay for a long time, but it’s a good place to start your holiday.
After a while in Port de la Savina you can go on to explore the lagoon of Estany des Peix. It is connected to the sea via a very narrow mouth so only the smallest boats anchor here. Just across from Estany des Peix is the other saltwater lagoon of Estany Pudent, and beyond that are the salt pans. Sometimes the lagoons can get a bit smelly in which case the beaches of Es Trucadors offer an alternative.
Formentera’s main resort of Es Pujols is where a through of people always head after arriving at La Savina. The warm, turquoise waters lap against white beaches and you can enjoy just about any water sport here, from diving to windsurfing. There is a local company Wet4Fun that rents equipment and gives lessons to beginners.
The the promenade behind the beach is called Avenida Miramar, and the Es Pujols high street is Passeig des Plameres. In the evenings both of these streets are lined with market stalls, and there is plenty of jewelry and trinkets that can be bought as gifts.
When is comes to hotels formentera they can be hard to find. This article has some good details. See: http://www.squidoo.com/hotels-formentera

You won’t be short of places to visit on Formentera. It has sights of natural beauty such as Platja des Canyers, and man-made features such as Ses Salines. Let’s look at some of the options…
Ses Salines is the name of the now defunct salt pans, and also of a beach that sits just behind them. The beach is worth a visit during the summer, and is far less busy than that of the nearby Llevant and resort of Es Pujols.
Canyers Beach, or Platja de Canyers, is worth a visit. It is twelve meters deep and surrounded by beautiful cliffs. It is pretty close to Es Pujols so even if you are having a resort style vacation you can make your way there.
As a result of geological good fortune the Balearics have some amazing natural coves, but Formentera has only one, that of Cala Saona. You can see the traces of the old fishing port that this cove used to be, and it has a deep blue ocean enclosed in dramatic cliffs. It is one hundred and forty meters of great beach.
It’s hard to believe that there used to be 400 ships regularly anchored at this cove, as these days it just a tourist spot. But that was back in the 1500s when this was one of the main trading ports of Formentera. They say that the cliffs were also used to train falcons, but these days you are more likely to see a Balearic Shearwater.
One of the perks of the area is the the nearby clifftop walks which you can enjoy. The most famous of these is Punta Rasa, which takes 30 minutes to get to, and delivers dramatic views as far as mainland Spain. Beneath the waters are a network of caves, so the area is popular with divers.
For the ultimate in convenience you can stay at thee hotel which is on top of the beach.
Once you have explored the sites of the island, the neigbouring island of Espalmador can help provide you will some excitement. It has mud baths, hundreds of nudists, and in Torre de S’Espalmador a defense tower to help you keep and eye out for any approaching pirates.

If you’re new to the world of online dating (or even a bit more experienced), there are certain unspoken rules and strategies that I know will enhance your experience.
A few tweaks in your strategy can go such a long way. They’ll make much more of a difference than you’d ever think. Avoid the mistakes that others make, and you’ll be really far ahead of the game.
I didn’t always realize how wrong some of the things I was doing were, and it wasn’t until I started doing things right that I realized just how much of a difference it made. As long as you adhere to a few simple rules, there’s no reason that you won’t have as much success as I have lately.
To start out, the most important thing you can possibly to is to see what people of the same gender are putting on their profiles. See if you’re saying the same things that they are, or if there are any that might seem more clever or interesting than yours.
In any competitive activity, whether it’s sports, business, or something else, you’ll always want to know what other people are up to. This is no exception here. Whether you learn what to do or what not to do from doing this, the lessons learned will be invaluable.
The worst thing you can do in the online dating world is to blend right in with everything else. By not standing out, you’ll be minimizing your chances of getting contacted.
It’s no disrespect to you in any way, but you’ll need to do something that makes you stand out from the rest of the pack. Be original, whether it’s humorous or simply interesting and different on your profile page. Connect with them so that whatever it is you’re writing about really strikes a chord with them.
I see way too many generic profiles out there and it blows my mind. With a bit of extra effort, they’ll be knocking on your “door”!

There are few things that sound as great as a song with a talented female vocalist. This applies to nearly all genres of music, and female singers are responsible for some of the most successful songs in music history. The last 15 years have seen even more emerge, and the movement continues to gain steam.
This paved the way for the indie rock movement of the last decade, which is still going strong as we enter a new decade. Much of the success of this movement can be attributed to some great, innovative female vocalists whose music shines, largely in part to their incredibly pleasant voices.
This article is going to focus on a few of the biggest female talents in indie rock music today, with their vocals being the deciding factor in who makes the list. While there are dozens I could easily list here, I’m going to limit this article to my favorite four.
First, I’d like to mention Regina Spektor. I’m in a coffee house as I write this, and her music is playing. This in fact inspired me to write this article.
Her voice is believed my many to be one of the best in music today, and some exceptional songs over the last few years have showcased her raw talent.
Another great vocalist in female music is Cat Power. Her real name is Chan Marshall, and she’s been making great music for about a decade now. With so many songs on her resume, both original and covers, her laid back style of blues music is one of the best in the indie world.
A newer arrival to the scene is Sharon Jones. While she’s not so new in the music world, this 50 something singer is certainly new to the indie scene. Having partnered up with the Dap Kings, this unique combination of musicians has some great Motown type music to show for it.
Lastly, Shara Worden, who produces music under the “My Brightest Diamond” moniker, may very well be the best of these. Listen to her cover of “Feeling Good” for affirmation of this.

Unless one has been asleep or living on the moon, they know of Twitter. It has evolved into the world’s greatest cocktail party, and no one has to clean up afterwards, or even pay the tab. It’s the new electronic campfire we sit around to talk and laugh and even sing. It’s an endless conversation like no other, and it’s just starting to pick up steam. We’ve all heard about how news breaks on Twitter before it hits any of the traditional journalistic outlets, and how it’s being used by emergency responders in difficult situations around the world. But the potential overall cultural impact of Twitter is just beginning to be evaluated and processed. Twitter is the new water cooler for the creative class — the social break room for people who don’t work in an office. And for those who do, it’s the ultimate coffee break. With five or ten minutes of total immersion, you can be socializing with people all over the country and around the globe, sharing quick tales of weal and woe that range from the mundane to the supernatural There’s instant advice, encouragement, and information to be had any time you stick your toes into the Twitter stream – if you’ve found a good spot on the bank of this wild new river to perch. I’ve been using and enjoying this novel social medium and “micro-blog” website under the carefully devised codename, TomVMorris, for about six months. And I’ve briefly mentioned it in a couple of previous blogs. Given all this, as a philosopher I admit I have a keen eye for something that surprised me at first given the millions of tweets that run down the Twitter stream….wisdom, or what I have coined “Twisdom, my term for Twitter wisdom.
This social network we call “Twitter” is not about an international announcment or your less than 100 followers how you slept last night or what your dog ate for breakfast, though that is certainly permitted. And it’s not just about high profile persons, or who can attract the most followers the quickest. It’s about building a new form of community. It’s about learning. It offers support, inspiration, and daily motivation. And it’s also about fun. But the most important aspect of Twitter may be that, if you do things right, you begin to surround yourself with an incredible group of people eager to share their best questions and insights about life. They’re all seeking new wisdom and hope. Twisdom is has evolved from it. There’s collaborative thinking on Twitter at a level and in a form I’ve never seen before. Almost every day, and often many times a day, a topic comes up that causes me, as a philosopher and simply a curious individual, to ponder a bit, and then share the results of that pondering in the Twitter-allowed one hundred and forty characters or less.
One comment will spark another, and before long, people of different ages and walks of life from around the world are engaged with me and each other in an extended conversation of brief bursts that add up to new realizations for everyone involved. I’ve gone from two followers to several thousand without doing anything to “build a following” on Twitter. It’s just happened. This means that, when I send a tweet, that many people in principle could read it right away. And if they like it, they can retweet it, or copy and send it on to their followers, many of whom might then, if they also resonate with what I’ve said, send it on again, and then maybe even become my direct Twitter followers as well. In turn, seeing their use of my own little thought, I might join their circle. It’s almost unimaginable how far a single tweet can go in its effort to do a little good in the world. The new connectivity of Twitter is immensely and surprisingly powerful.
At first it was mostly my younger friends almost demanding that I try out this new social network while my peers and same-age contemporaries, others were warning me to stay away. Now understand both perspectives. As an experiment, I once clicked on the universal Twitter stream named “Everyone” that was available for a while on the basic Twitter web page. This immersed me in the main current of tweets from all over the world. I refreshed the page every four seconds, scanning and reading everything I could as fast as I was able, and I did this for a stretch of less than fifteen minutes — a seeming eternity in TwitterTime. It was quite an experience.I didn’t see any quotes from the deep thinkers. There were no deeper musings on life. There didn’t seem to be much real social interaction. There were just lots of soliloquies on the painfully trivial. There were several outbursts of obscenity. There was a full stream of complaining and venting. There was also some high-pressure marketing. But there was almost nothing like what I see in my own little Twitter stream every time I log into my favorite social network.
As is the case of most that we do in the world, Twitter is what we make of it.I have met many people who utilize it to think, touch lives, work together, and support each other. My little community there is an amazing circle of novelists, cartoonists, comic book writers and illustrators, editors, consultants, corporate and personal coaches, journalists, executives, marketing experts, moms, dads, and various celebrities who sometimes appear on Twitter as just real people with a strong interest in ideas, and in being helpful with their time, rarely if ever Twittering about their work. It’s a self-selected collection of vibrant and generous personalities thinking and playing together, using an unspoken set of netiquette rules, making the dynamics of Twitter quite an unexpected, but surprisingly nice journey for me.
In the short bursts of thought and commentary that Twitter allows, we can all turn into philosophical aphorists. Critics may be tempted to dismiss what results as nothing more than fortune cookie wisdom, without the cookie. But the nuggets of insight, or twisdom, that Twitter allows can in principle be much more than that. What we find in Twitter exchanges won’t typically replicate the results of a Yale philosophy seminar, or a colloquium at Notre Dame. It’s a place not for abstruse theory but for practical insight. And yet the insights can run quite deep. As Steven Johnson recently said in a Time Magazine cover story on the whole phenomenon, “Twitter turns out to have surprising depth.” One tweet can change your life, or on a much smaller scale, make your day. If you don’t use Twitter already, you may find it at times unexpectedly helpful for a contemplation of the wonder and mystery of your life. I’m not saying that you’ll always find world-historical profundity on Twitter. Twisdom is often more down to earth and humble than that. It’s frequently just a reminder of something we know and need to live. Or it’s a slightly new angle on an old realization.
Perspective may be the key. Or it’s a call to action, and an inspiration take the initiative. I believe Twitter has taught me to think more lucidly. I’ve experienced new insights there that have arisen in a genuinely novel way, out of the collective thinking that occurs in short bursts, and on the run. But that’s how we do most things these days — in short bursts, and on the run. So perhaps the twisdom that has come about in the same way may be well suited to the situations we confront, and the insights we need, at precisely this moment in time.If the idea of Twisdom interests you, one way to explore it is to find me on Twitter, as TomVMorris. I will be more than happy to introduce you around to the sages there that I already know, the people who inspire and touch my life on a daily basis. And, who knows, you may even end up pondering some of the mysteries of life with Oprah — or at least find out what she had for dinner.
Dr. Tom V. Morris founder of the Morris Institute Of Human Values is a philosopher and author. “Twisdom is his 20th book, available at Amazon as are his others. Morris taught philosophy at Notre Dame for many years and has even trademarked the word “Twisdom”.
