Make Money – Become A Freelance Writer

Posted by Brian Lett on August 4, 2010

If you possess writing skills, did you know that you can use those skills to make money? The fact is that the world is composed of people who know how to write, and those who struggle. As a result, those who struggle often pay those with writing skills to compose content for them. As a freelance writer, you are your own boss. Of course you will have deadlines which will need to be met, but you will be able to structure your schedule to meet those deadlines. When you want to go on vacation, you simply decline new projects.

You have a couple of different options when it comes to launching your freelance writer carer. The most common option is by actually advertising your services by writing content. For example, one of the main reasons why an individual may want content written on their behalf, is because they wish to promote their business via article marketing. Article marketing involves writing informative content on a particular subject which is of high interest to your niche market. With this information, do you see what you as a freelance writer should be doing? If you said, writing articles about “article marketing”, you are correct. Thereafter, you will submit your articles to the article directories, and in the resource box of your articles is where you will inform the reader that you offer writing services.

If you are one of those individuals who need a jump start to get your creative with your writing, then an article directory can be a great place for you. Most, if not all article directories have categories. Of course, each category relates to a set of topics. If you find that you are having a difficult time determining what to write about, sift through the categories which reside in the article directory, and come up with topics upon which to write from there.

Still, I am certain that some of you have no desire to write on behalf of other individuals. No problem. You can still make money as a freelance writer by writing a blog. I am sure that you have seen individuals who have been able to build impressive incomes via their blog. Do you know how they did this? By writing freelance. Yes, it is true. These individuals remained consistent in keeping their blog up to date, gain followers, and then turned around and sold products and services to these follows. Additionally, once you have a popular blog, you have great leverage to earn two or three thousand dollars per month simply by selling advertising space.

My primary rational behind focusing mainly on articles and blogs for purposes of freelance writing, is because you can do so very quickly. If you do decide to market your writing services, this will enable you to provide potential suitors which a decent sample size of your past work. To find such freelance writing projects, I suggest that you visit Guru, Elance, oDesk, and iFreelance, for starters. Once you gain a reputation for yourself, you will be rewarded justly.

Freelance writing is a very reliable means by which to make money nowadays. If you are a talented writer, and wish to work for yourself, freelance writing is a great option.

Make Money From Home – Sell Your EBook

Posted by Brian Lett on July 30, 2010

It is not atypical for someone with a plan to make money from home by authoring an eBook to get a hold of me to ask specific questions. Nonetheless, the most common question which I receive is in regards to how much one can earn by selling an eBook. The fact is that I can never give a straight answer since there are so many variables involved in answering that question. Particularly, how much money an author is able to generate by selling their eBook depends in large part upon the content of the eBook, as well as the means by which it is marketed.

If you are offering very unique information which is relevant to a fairly large market, you stand to make more than if you were selling an eBook which contains information on an unpopular subject, which could easily be discovered by reading a series of articles on the subject. Thus, if your eBook is in line with the former scenario, you could charge much more per copy than in the latter scenario.

It goes without saying that even if you have composed the most valuable eBook on the planet, it means nothing if people do not know about it. Hence, you have to let your market know that your eBook is now here to educate them. In order to do this, it is important that you take a broad marketing approach. At a bare minimum, you should market via the search engines, blogging, article marketing, video marketing, social bookmarking, affiliate marketing, social networking, and of course, your convincing sales page. As you may have gathered, this approach takes time. Therefore it is important that you are willing to put forth the effort without receiving very much in return until some point in the future.

It comes as no surprise that if you want to make money from home immediately, authoring an eBook is not for you. Just like an author writing a paperback book, you are going to need to research the topic, place a great deal of thought in the composition of your book, make sure that it is thoroughly edited, and take consistent efforts to promote your writing. This can take several months to more than a year.

All in all, I must inform you of one very key fact. You are not guaranteed to make money from home simply because you have created an eBook. In reality, this is true for any means to make money from home. However, when it comes to publishing eBooks, you can greatly increase your chances for success by studying the market ahead of time. Search for a niche market which is in need of information. Make sure that this niche market is substantial enough is size, and is not saturated with competition. Taking such measures upfront serves a dual purpose. First, it reveals a necessity for information on a certain subject matter, and second, it allows you to clearly identify the market which is interested in this information. This initial exercise will be critical in determining whether or not you will make money from home by the sale of your eBook.

If you are knowledgeable in on a topic, you should Make Money From Home by authoring material on that topic. How you will Earn Money Online is to then create an eBook with your writings. Any author can publish their work by these means. Our affiliates can sell your eBook at SOSComplete.com

Six Article Writing Tips For Better Articles

Posted by Frank Lisperon on July 2, 2010

A lot of people, including seasoned writers and marketers dread the idea of having to write another article.
There are some who feel like it seems to be too much work and it all goes to waste when no one reads their article anyhow. To a few people, reading articles seem like work too, particularly if the article is boring and very unstimulating. Well, articles are conjectured to be read, that’s their intent, to bestow your knowledge, message and information. If it is not read by anybody, then it is a waste of time and energy.

But all the same, articles have to be written to be read. It’s just a matter of making them good. Making a good article doesn’t have to be strenuous and straining. There are just some points needed to be reminded of, and some guidelines to follow. Once you get the hang of it, writing articles should be fun, as well as beneficial for you and your site.

Of course, the articles you pen must be about a theme you know something about, that’s why if you own a site, you in all likelihood have some knowledge about the theme of your site. When you write about it, you won’t have too hard a time because you already know what the subject is and what it’s about. It’s just a matter of making your articles creative, educational and stimulating.

To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are six really useful tips. These tips will make your articles readable, informative and interesting.

1) Use brief paragraphs. When the paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader. Just looking at a long paragraph can get quite confusing and makes it hard work to read it. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier reading articles that are favorable to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!

2) Make use of numbers or bullets. As you are emphasizing each applicable point, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, your readers will know that this is where the tips begin. Format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your article won’t look like a single block of boring square paragraphs. It pays to add a little bit of flair and originality to your articles body.

3) Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break each point into sections. It will also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another; the transition will be smooth, easy and ‘natural.’This way, you will never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction of your article.

4) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway there in getting a person to read your article. Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content, but should also be short and concise.

Use titles like, “Tips on making her want you more”, or “How to make her swoon and blush” .You could also use titles that can command people, for example, “Make her yours in six easy Ways”. These types of titles reach out to a persons’ emotions and makes them interested. Once you have the readers emotional attention, you are guaranteed that person will read your article.

5) Keep them interested in your article from the very first word, to the last. From your opening paragraph, use real life situations that can be adopted by the reader. Use good descriptions and metaphors to drive home your point, just don’t over do it. Driving your examples with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.

6) Utilize figures when necessary and not just ordinary and insipid statements. Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it authoritative. But do not make it too formal, it should be light and easy in them and flow. Like a friendly teacher having a little chat with an eager student.

7)Don’t use long, technical or unusual words. Many authors assume that their readers already know about the subject. These authors use technical words and jargon that are difficult for the reader to understand and follow. So try to keep it as non-technical as you can. After all, you want them to visit your website for a more in depth understanding of what you are writing about.

8)Pay close care to your spelling and grammar. If your article is cluttered with writing errors, and bad use of grammar, then that will weaken your claim to be knowlegable about the subject you are writing about, and may get your article declined. If you want to give the appearance of being an authority on your subject, always run a spell check before submitting your article.

Tips On How To Keep Your Designer Handbag Looking New

Posted by Brianna Carlton on December 11, 2009

There are hundreds of designer handbag designs that are absolutely fabulous. Many women are fortunate to go out and buy one whenever they desire, but some of us have to save and save until our budget can withstand the purchase of one. When you finally get your dream handbag taking measures to protect it is imperative. Here are a few tips to show you how to keep your designer handbag looking new.

A good rule of thumb would be to always check the label inside of the bag or that comes with the handbag that will give you recommended instructions for proper care. This is one of the first steps in learning how to keep your designer handbag looking new. The size of the investment was hefty, so to protect your investment, don’t cut corners. Invest in the proper materials and cleansers your handbag needs to remain gorgeous, new and durable.

Starting with the cleaner, a good rule of thumb is to use cleaner designed for the material your bag is made of. For example if you have a snakeskin bag, you’ll need cleaner designed to clean snakeskin material. Many fabric handbags may need to be dry cleaned depending on the manufacturer directions.

Once you purchase your handbag keep the protective covering that came with the bag to use for storage when you need it. Before storing your bag it is wise to clean the exterior and empty the interior and lightly vacuuming or wiping the small leftovers out to preserve it. For frequently used handbags, you will need frequent cleaning.

If you have accidentally discarded the protective bag the handbag was purchased in here’s a recommendation that will help you maintain its gorgeous new look before storing it away for future use. Using linen that is large enough to secure the handbag being made of microfiber or fiber will work wonders.

When using your handbag, avoid spills, placing items directly on the handbag and keeping sharp objects inside of the bag, like pencils and nail files. Another thing that’ll prolong the life of your bag, keeping it looking new is to avoid filling it with too many contents to give it a bulging look.

Now that you have a few tips on how to keep your designer handbag looking new, you’ll probably agree it’s a piece of cake and you won’t have to buy another one unless you are ready to purchase a different design.

An Individual’s Uncovering of the Medicine in Essential Oils

Posted by Joan Kelly on November 25, 2009

They’ve Known It All Along

I consider myself fairly well- educated and read intelligent magazines and newspapers, but for some reason, I have had little acquaintance with aromatherapy, or aroma-botanicals as my friend prefers to call them. I have spent many university classroom hours reading about the interactions between plants and insects, plants and other plants and of course plants and humans. Yet, what was not offered in all the lectures I attended and books I read were the wide-variety of medicinal properties of aromatherapy. Below is brief synopsis of my discovery of aromatherapy and the science that confirms what has been right under our noses for centuries.

So Much More Than Just Aroma

I have been using natural and alternative wellness treatments for my health for years, yet I had only associated aromatherapy with getting a massage or putting lavender on my pillow for a better night’s sleep. Unbeknownst to me, aromatherapy has been used for centuries and currently used in medical facilities in France. Now, with a rising interest and even demand for alternative and complementary medicine (CAM), research is being conducted on the benefits of aromatherapy for infections, psyche, nerves, hormones and to some extent inflammation, allergies and metabolic conditions.

New Meaning and Association for Aromatherapy

Contrary to my own vague association, aromatherapy is more than smelling certain scents. Jane Buckle, RN, Ph.D. concludes that there are four main types of aromatherapy: clinical, stress management, beauty therapy and environmental fragrancing. I think many of us have an association of aromatherapy when it comes to beauty therapy and good smelling fragrances from the aroma of essential oils, yet the clinical and stress management aspects of aromatherapy have been hidden from view.

To wrap my investigative mind around what truly is aromatherapy, I needed to get more of a simplistic definition. The general idea of the meaning of aromatherapy is that it is therapeutic uses of essential oils from aromatic (fragrant) plants. These oils are usually extracted from plants using water or steam distillation and typically used in diffusers as well as topically. Once the aromatic essential oils are extracted, the oils are rather unstable in nature – when the oils are exposed to air, they change from a potent liquid into an aromatic vapor within seconds.

In his book Advanced Aromatherapy: The Science of Essential Oil, Kurt Schnaubelt, Ph.D., explains that the main chemical component of essential oils are terpenes and it higher homologues as well as phenylpropane derivatives. Yet it must be pointed out that the synergy of each oil has it own unique qualities as well as specific chemical components.

Nature’s Own Synergies

Each of us is aware of the far reaching affects of the high-tech civilization that we live. Yet, one that is often overlooked or forgotten is the loss of nature – both in our surrounding environment and in personal knowledge. In this modern age, it seems that humans have separated mind from body and body from soul. If we were to look at the essence of what aromatherapy is, it is simply nature in a bottle.

Probing into my biology textbook, I read about plant defenses in a whole new light. Plants produce chemical compounds, mostly terpenoid compounds, in order to defend themselves against predators such as insects and animal herbivores as well as against fungai and other microbes. These terpenoid compounds also are used in plant to plant competition, where established plants inhibit germination of other plants. And of course plants use scent in attracting beneficial insect and bat pollinators. (4) (5) Thus, it is evident that the role of essential oils is vital to the continual establishment and growth of plants.

Observing Animals

Remembering my general observation of various animals, I wonder now why the usage and medicinal properties of plants is so unfamiliar in our culture. I have known for years that horses select various plants to facilitate detoxing of metabolic toxic buildup, as well as select certain plants for antiviral and antiparasitic uses. I remember in learning in one of my graduate classes about Chimpanzees eating certain plants to cleanse their accumulation of internal parasites.

And, I know from my graduate work in entomology that insects have fairly well developed chemoreception and some are attracted to plants by their scents. It tugs at my reasoning why plants and their essential oils are not more widely used in everyday life, but as I have pointed out above that is now changing. In part two of this paper, I will dive into the physiological aspects of how aromatherapy is absorbed into the human body and the current research on clinical and stress management uses.

How To Create Your Own Sacred Moment Vows

Posted by David Trumble on November 13, 2009

Your dream special day is just over the horizon. There are so many things you want it to be. Your passion for your partner grows stronger every day. You want your sacred moment to be spectacular – one of a kind lifetime event. One of the ways to make it truly special is by learning how to write your own special day vows.

You may be thinking that your minister already has the sacred moment ceremony locked up. You may feel hesitant to mess things up trying to compose your own wedding vows or trying to make your special day ceremony special. Relax, couples do it all the time. Ministers are usually quite willing to work with you to insure your sacred moment vows communicate our special character .

To begin, what should you avoid? As you author your special day vows, stay away from wordiness. Words should communicate, they should not just string along one word after another after another. No one will appreciate an endless monologue even if it does express your own character .

Bad English can be embarrassing. So avoid awkward wording and phrasing. If your own proper English skills are lacking, get help.

Finally, avoid wildly extreme ideas. Keep in mind that you are planning and launching your marriage. Expressing fundamentally inappropriate ideas in your special day vows can have a disastrous impact on your marriage and relationships with others. Avoid the radical and extreme.

Now that you know what to avoid, what steps do you need to take to write your own wedding vows and make them truly special expressing your own personality in a way that you can take great pride?

Start listing all of those things that make your bond special. List the things you share in terms of activities, pleasures, philosophies, values, ideals; anything and everything that reflects you mutual personality . As a couple, who are you? Take as much space as you need to really identify what makes your lives together special. Your reasons may be the same or there may be some significant differences.

Having identified the qualities that reflect your relationship, now write down the reasons you intend to get married. Yes, answer the question, “Why are you getting married?” You might be tempted to gloss over this a bit, but take time to make your lists thorough. Include every reason you have. Once you complete your individual reason lists, share them to find what reasons truly apply.

With your lists in hand and in mind, begin reading several sample special day vows. Examine them for the ideas they convey, the values, and priorities they express. Make notes to help you remember the ones that speak to you and the ones that you just do not like. It can get overwhelming to study loads of wedding ceremonies, but you will quickly see similarities and even repetition.

A professional author, your minister, or a trusted friend proficient in English grammar may be willing to take your notes and lists and author your special day vows for you. You have identified the things that are unique about your relationship. You have zeroed in on your reasons for wanting to get married. You have made notes on your likes and dislikes in conventional vows. All that is left is having someone put it together in acceptable form. You still have the right to review, edit, embellish, or approve the end result.

Of course, you can still author your own wedding vows to express your own personality . You have all the tools at your disposal. You have your list of distinctive qualities and traits. You have your unique reasons for wanting to get married. You have reviewed, studied, and taken notes on dozens of sample special day vows. You are now ready to do the composing .

This may seem to be an overwhelming task, but you can fairly quickly write your own special wedding vows and express your own character doing so. Some trial and error may be needed, but relax and enjoy the process. Read your creation aloud. Listen as someone else reads. Keep working on your wedding vows until you are confident they express your uniqueness in a meaningful and effective manner.

Finally, when you are ready. Have your minister review your creations. He may make a few suggestions or he may approve it on the spot. In any case, your minister will insure that what you have written will be suitable for the special day ceremony.

RC Helicopters- Are You Starting Out?

Posted by Rand Boshard on September 13, 2009

When it comes to a RC helicopter, you may find that it is hard to fly. This is especially true for the kids or beginners out there. Well, you will find that RC helicopters come in two different types. Those types consist of the beginner and the pro. Pro would be for those that like to control every aspect of the helicopter. You might find this to be hard to do if you’re a beginner. Therefore, it would be best for you to settle with the beginner types. The pro type of RC helicopters consists of both power and gas powered engines. You will find that they are more expensive and need more maintenance. You may find it harder to control, because of how many channels it could have.

When you have ten channels, you should know that this will obviously be harder to control. As for controlling the pro helicopters, you will find they have different controls that do different things. The channels it has on the RC helicopter get controlled from the RC remote.

If you’re a beginner, you will find buying a RC helicopter might be easier if you decide to get a RC helicopter that’s electric. You should know that many people that start out with RC helicopters become pros within a few months, however you might want to buy extra parts if you want to go pro. Electric RC helicopters have a certain amount of charge time, which makes it regulated with speed and run time.

To go pro, you should know that moving to a gas powered model will be for starters. When you take off with a gas powered one, the power and speed is enhanced. You also have more range that can spread for a mile as long as there are not trees or objects redirecting the radio signal. The radio controls on a gas powered RC model has more, because more power means more control is needed.

You may find that the power can be amplified, which ten or more channels is needed. Channels are separated by parts on the RC model. That means the back propeller is used for one channel, throttle control is one channel and etc. The parts can be changed out easy on a gas powered RC helicopter.

Once you get your RC Helicopter off the ground, you will find that it will be more easier to do a second time. The RC hobby has become a lot bigger today, with new ways to make a small motor very powerful to make a helicopter zoom through the air. You will find that getting an electric helicopter is just as good as the fuel type and for your first type of helicopter, electric is better. Fuel can be hard to control, because of the power issue.

RC helicopters can be a hard skill to pick up, however you will find that its easy as you try more and more to get practice to make perfect. When you get to the next step of the hobby, move on to the next type of helicopter.

Rand Boshard has always been entranced by RC Helicopters. He currently helps run http://www.RCHelicopterPad.com , which sells all varieties of RC helicopters.
