When it comes to a RC helicopter, you may find that it is hard to fly. This is especially true for the kids or beginners out there. Well, you will find that RC helicopters come in two different types. Those types consist of the beginner and the pro. Pro would be for those that like to control every aspect of the helicopter. You might find this to be hard to do if you’re a beginner. Therefore, it would be best for you to settle with the beginner types. The pro type of RC helicopters consists of both power and gas powered engines. You will find that they are more expensive and need more maintenance. You may find it harder to control, because of how many channels it could have.
When you have ten channels, you should know that this will obviously be harder to control. As for controlling the pro helicopters, you will find they have different controls that do different things. The channels it has on the RC helicopter get controlled from the RC remote.
If you’re a beginner, you will find buying a RC helicopter might be easier if you decide to get a RC helicopter that’s electric. You should know that many people that start out with RC helicopters become pros within a few months, however you might want to buy extra parts if you want to go pro. Electric RC helicopters have a certain amount of charge time, which makes it regulated with speed and run time.
To go pro, you should know that moving to a gas powered model will be for starters. When you take off with a gas powered one, the power and speed is enhanced. You also have more range that can spread for a mile as long as there are not trees or objects redirecting the radio signal. The radio controls on a gas powered RC model has more, because more power means more control is needed.
You may find that the power can be amplified, which ten or more channels is needed. Channels are separated by parts on the RC model. That means the back propeller is used for one channel, throttle control is one channel and etc. The parts can be changed out easy on a gas powered RC helicopter.
Once you get your RC Helicopter off the ground, you will find that it will be more easier to do a second time. The RC hobby has become a lot bigger today, with new ways to make a small motor very powerful to make a helicopter zoom through the air. You will find that getting an electric helicopter is just as good as the fuel type and for your first type of helicopter, electric is better. Fuel can be hard to control, because of the power issue.
RC helicopters can be a hard skill to pick up, however you will find that its easy as you try more and more to get practice to make perfect. When you get to the next step of the hobby, move on to the next type of helicopter.
Rand Boshard has always been entranced by RC Helicopters. He currently helps run http://www.RCHelicopterPad.com , which sells all varieties of RC helicopters.
